Hi there- Sorry it has been awhile since my last post. Have been so busy with things here...haven't had much time for anything else.
It has been a GREAT week though. Found out some totally
FUN news on Friday!!! (squeal! STILL stunned!)
I will post the project soon.I had an awesome weekend in Philadelphia (
Go Phillies!) for my cousin's wedding.
I flew with my oldest daughter who spent the weekend with her dad. I stayed in Center City with two of my sisters. The reception was at the Constitution Center and everything about it was wonderful! I got to spend lots of time with my siblings/parents/cousins!! I am so glad I got the chance to go!
My husband stayed home with the two little ones---My son had a baseball tournament on the weekend. Ben was thrilled because they won medals. This is huge for them because they have never even come close. They are one of the youngest teams in their bracket and it has taken awhile for them to play like a team.
Warning...gonna brag a bit here: On Sunday---Ben hit two triples and a home run in his first game , the game winning home run in the second game (which was in overtime because they were tied) and he hit a three run homer in the third game. Definitely was a ON day for his bat. (Saturday was a very different story for him--grounded out, flied out and struck out in one game so this made Sunday's success even more awesome.)
Happy times!
I got home late last night (John Lithgow was on our flight from Newark!)....and so much to do today...so I created a simple card for this week's
MFT Wednesday Stamp Club. This week our challenge is to create a masculine or boy-themed card.
Since it is almost Halloween---I went with a boy-themed card. Here is my tribute to "
It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."
"
Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere. He's gotta pick this one. He's got to. I don't see how a pumpkin patch can be more sincere than this one. You can look around and there's not a sign of hypocrisy. Nothing but sincerity as far as the eye can see. " (It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown)
Simple but soo love that holiday classic. Couldn't resist! I used Boy & Dog Dog Gone Cute to create this scene. Designer paper is by October Afternoon.
Easy Peasy cause not alotta time-y!
